Install - Debian 12 - Partitioning - Encrypted - No UEFI

This is one way to setup partitioning on Debian 12 when making the boot drive encrypted.

This guide is if you do not have UEFI on your VM. Which, by default, our VM's do not.

Select Manual when on the partition disks option.

The below video shows how to configure the drive. This is a very fast paced video and there is no audio, so pay attention!

Note that you can select EXT4 if you do not want XFS, etc.

You may want to "erase all data". It's entirely up to you! I selected no in the video, but for security reasons you may want to select yes.
